Testimonials
" No matter how much a coach has read, studied or observed, there will come times when he must sense things beyond his experiences and intuitively apply a new approach." Brutus Hamilton, Running Coach, 1965
"I want to give you a big thanks. My little bitty race went well. My first tri with open water swim was Heritage Park and I was last in the swim, total wreck of a swim. After your coaching and lessons I was first in my age group in the swim!!!" Brett Parise, Multisport Athlete, Referencing the 2008 Topeka Tinman Race
As I began thinking about my training plan for the Ironman Kansas 70.3, I immediately realized to have a successful race I would need some experienced guidance. I turned to Ryan and Perception Multisport for that edge. My previous method of training was to do as much mileage as I could each week. I knew this was too long of a race to have that mentality and be successful. The plan Ryan designed for me took into account my current physical condition, my goals and the time available to commit to training. I was very committed to the plan, especially since the time commitment was very reasonable, probably less than I would be doing on my own. But the time was well planned and each work out had a specific purpose, no empty miles. I also received nutrition advice, race day suggestions, and a plan for recovery. Needless to say I had the race of my life. I outperformed everyone’s expectations, including my own. I had a great time and finished injury free. I owe Ryan a big thank you for helping to make it all possible. Kathy Boyd, Multisport Athlete
I do want to take a moment to give out some very special thanks to Ryan Ross for helping me go at this with a very focused and enthusiastic coaching experience. He has taught me tons about the sport and getting prepared for this sport, not just the race. He has helped me learn that there is so much more to just fighting the water, hammering down on the pedals, and then getting the legs churning after the bike is done. He has such a great outlook on the sport and has done a great job to help assist me in the goals and challenges along the way, and not only inspired me to go stronger and smarter, but to look at the sport as more than just 3 physical attributes, but a more spirtual and social event for a stronger community concept as well.
